Prince Al Hussein: A Year of Sustained Engagement Cultivating Jordan’s Future

Amman: His Royal Highness Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, the Crown Prince, stands as a driving force behind Jordan's youth, consistently engaging with them, empowering their potential, and ensuring their pivotal role in shaping the nation's destiny. This unwavering commitment to progress and generational empowerment marks a distinct era of leadership.

According to Jordan News Agency, as His Royal Highness celebrates his thirty-first birthday this June, we look back on a remarkable year. From June 2024 to the present, the Crown Prince undertook over 80 significant meetings and initiatives, reflecting a dynamic and persistent pursuit of optimal opportunities for Jordan's young people and the generations to come.

June 2024 saw the Crown Prince launch the Tawasol Forum activities and preside over two significant military graduation ceremonies: the 33rd cohort of the Military Wing at Mutah University and the 53rd Air Force Officer Cadets' Course. He also inaugurated an international cybersecurity competition in Amman, demonstrating foresight into modern challenges.

Last July, His Royal Highness's agenda included visits to the Al-Raya Media Group and the Sixth Royal Border Guard Battalion Command. He reviewed the National Cybersecurity Program's progress and observed a tactical military exercise in the Central Military Region. He also patronized Al-Ahli Club's 80th-anniversary celebration and opened the "42 Amman" computer science and programming program headquarters.

In August 2024, His Royal Highness inaugurated an international forum on Youth, Peace, and Security in Amman. He held discussions with the Secretary-General of the Arab League and honored the nation's top-achieving high school students. September 2024 saw him observe a military exercise at the Royal Jordanian Command and Staff College and visit the General Command of the Armed Forces, emphasizing the role of digital sciences in youth employment.

During October 2024, His Royal Highness engaged in high-level diplomatic efforts, including a meeting with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Riyadh. He participated in the Future Investment Initiative conference and sponsored the Jordan Festival for Camel Racing and Nabataean Poetry.

November 2024 marked the inauguration of the Ghor Al Mazra'a Health Center rehabilitation project. He presided over the "Knights of the Future" officers' graduation and delivered Jordan's address at COP29 in Azerbaijan, engaging with global leaders on climate issues.

Last December, the Crown Prince visited Kuwait, meeting with its Emir and engaging with its Crown Prince. His itinerary included discussions with the Director-General of the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development and visits to the Al-Salam Palace Museum and Kuwaiti media institutions.

In January 2025, His Royal Highness participated in the World Economic Forum in Davos, meeting leaders like the Singaporean President and the Lord Mayor of London. He chaired the inaugural National Council for Future Technology meeting and inaugurated the Government Services Center in Madaba.

This February, His Royal Highness visited Turkey and Egypt, meeting with their presidents, and discussed cooperation with the US Secretary of Energy in Washington. He paid respects at King Hussein's tomb and chaired the National Council for Future Technology meeting upon returning.

Last March, His Royal Highness connected with military and civil society, sharing Iftar meals with military personnel and orphans. He emphasized digital infrastructure development and reviewed the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship's projects.

In April, His Royal Highness chaired another National Council for Future Technology meeting. May included a visit to Japan for economic discussions and participation in Expo Japan.
