Amman: His Royal Highness Prince El Hassan bin Talal visited the Politics and Society Institute to review its key achievements and its research and intellectual programs, alongside a group of researchers, writers, and leading thinkers.
According to Jordan News Agency, during the meeting, Prince El Hassan emphasized the importance of intellectual gatherings, asserting that a strong intellectual foundation is crucial for any development process, especially within research centers and public policy-making. He discussed the role of artificial intelligence and modern technology in supporting scientific research, highlighting the potential for their application in sectors such as agriculture. This could involve developing technical mechanisms to create a national index for farmers in Jordan, thus improving planning efficiency and sustainability.
Prince El Hassan also underscored the importance of integration among peoples, stressing that "a human being does not abandon his fellow human being," which reflects the humanitarian and ethical dimensions of joint cooperation. Addressing the role of youth, he emphasized the need to involve them in dialogues and advocated for moderation and objectivity in discussions. He reiterated that the human element is fundamental to any development or advancement process.
He further stressed the importance of grounding meetings in honesty and public action, particularly directing them towards youth. At the end of his visit, Prince El Hassan toured the institute's departments, reviewing its working mechanisms and research programs. He commended the institute's efforts in promoting intellectual dialogue and policy-making based on research and knowledge.
