Amman: HRH Prince El Hassan bin Talal, President of the Arab Thought Forum (ATF), visited the Military Oncology Center of the Royal Medical Services (RMS).

According to Jordan News Agency, Prince El Hassan was welcomed by RMS Director General Brig. Gen. Sahel Hammouri and received a briefing from the Center Director, Brig. Gen. Ahmad Bawaneh, on the medical services provided to cancer patients within the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, security services, and the civilian population.

The center employs medical technologies designed to alleviate patient suffering and is positioned as a model for other healthcare institutions. Brig. Gen. Hammouri stated that the RMS focuses on advancing the medical system in Jordan, with an emphasis on introducing new equipment and integrating modern medical and therapeutic methods, especially for patients with blood diseases. He underscored the importance of awareness and cooperation among medical sectors.

During his tour of the center’s departments, Prince El Hassan expressed pride in the dedication of RMS personnel, including their support for Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank. He also discussed the necessity of developing a comprehensive knowledge database and emphasized that health institutions should evolve through solidarity and integration, advocating for enhanced partnerships and services under a unified framework.

Prince El Hassan was accompanied by the Minister of Health, the President of the University of Jordan, the Inspector General of the Jordanian Armed Forces, and representatives from both public and private medical sectors.
