Prince Hassan and Princess Sarvath Inaugurate Sports Field at Amman Baccalaureate School

Amman: Their Royal Highnesses Prince Hassan bin Talal and Princess Sarvath El Hassan inaugurated a sports field at the Amman Baccalaureate School, named in honour of the late Dr Ahmed Manko, with Her Royal Highness Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, Chair of the School's Board of Trustees, also in attendance.

According to Jordan News Agency, the event was attended by members of the Manko and Tabbaa families, whose support was instrumental in funding the project, alongside school officials, staff, students, alumni, and other guests. Princess Sumaya praised Dr Manko for his role as a founding member of ABS and his close association with Prince Hassan, noting his enduring impact on the school's vision and mission.

She also commended Princess Sarvath for her enduring leadership and significant role in establishing ABS as a leading educational institution in the region. School officials highlighted that the new field underscores the school's commitment to student well-being and development, offering a space that encourages physical activity, social growth, and creativity.

The ceremony featured musical performances and student artwork, which were presented to members of the Manko family in gratitude for their support. The event concluded with the unveiling of a commemorative plaque and the official opening of the Dr Ahmed Manko Stadium. Founded in 1981 under the Royal Scientific Society, ABS was the first International Baccalaureate school in Jordan and the region, and it has since become one of the country's leading educational institutions.
