Princess Alia to Patronize Jordan International Show Jumping Championship

Amman: HRH Princess Alia bint Al Hussein, President of the Royal Jordanian Equestrian Federation (RJEF), will patronize the Jordan International Show Jumping Championship, scheduled from October 9 to 11 at Al Saheel Equestrian Center. Princess Alia emphasized the event's significance in re-establishing Jordan's prominence on the global show jumping stage and advancing equestrian sports in the Kingdom.

According to Jordan News Agency, the championship will attract top riders from Jordan, Syria, Egypt, and Iraq, and will be conducted under the supervision of the RJEF, adhering to international standards. The event will feature local categories with jumps ranging from 60 to 90 cm and international rounds up to 135 cm. Additionally, cultural and national performances will highlight Jordan's heritage.

Zeena Nabulsi, Public Relations Manager at Al Saheel Center, stated that the event represents a strategic endeavor to enhance Jordan's international equestrian sports presence. She noted the RJEF's crucial role in supporting clubs and centers to develop this national sport further.

The Jordan International Show Jumping Championship will also feature performances by Jordan's Special Royal Guard Command and the Jordan Armed Forces Band during the opening and closing ceremonies. Al Saheel Equestrian Center plans to implement a comprehensive media program to support local and Arab media coverage and promote equestrian culture throughout the region.
