Amman: Her Royal Highness Princess Zeina Rashid has been elected to the Executive Council of the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) for the 2025-2029 term, marking a new appointment for Jordan in the global sports arena. According to Jordan News Agency, Princess Zeina has a long history in table tennis, having represented Jordan in the 2004 Athens and 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. She also had the honor of carrying the Jordanian flag at the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics. Following her athletic career, she transitioned into governance roles, including serving as a member of the ITTF Foundation Board, where she is engaged in initiatives that utilize sports for community and youth development. In Jordan, Princess Zeina holds the position of Vice President of the Jordan Taekwondo Federation and has been instrumental in the development of national sports programs, including the Olympic preparation system and the Jordan Olympic Committee's Olympic Preparation Center. Her efforts extend beyond s ports governance to community-focused initiatives, including her participation in sports programs designed for children in refugee camps and founding "Art for Good," an initiative that leverages art to support charitable and developmental projects.
