PSD, Arab Interior Ministers Council Deepen Regional Security Cooperation

Amman: Public Security Directorate (PSD) Director Maj. Gen. Obeidallah Maaytah met Tuesday with the Secretary-General of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers, Muhammad Koman, to explore avenues for expanding security cooperation and enhancing coordination among police agencies across the Arab region.

According to Jordan News Agency, Maj. Gen. Maaytah emphasized the importance of deepening regional partnerships to enhance law enforcement systems and improve public service delivery. He underscored the value of exchanging expertise and adopting best practices to stay ahead of emerging security challenges.

He reiterated Jordan's dedication to fostering strong security collaboration across the Arab world, in a way that strengthens the capabilities of police agencies and supports joint efforts to combat crime.

Koman commended the PSD as a leading example of modern, professional policing in the region. He expressed appreciation for the Directorate's commitment to advancing inter-Arab security coordination and developing unified strategies that contribute to regional stability and safety.
