Amman:The Public Security Directorate (PSD) has announced an extension of its national vehicle inspection initiative, the "Winter Campaign," by one week, starting November 11, 2026. This campaign aims to ensure vehicle compliance with winter technical requirements to enhance road safety and reduce traffic accidents.
According to Jordan News Agency, the decision to extend the campaign follows a robust positive response from the public, with over 1 million vehicles having been inspected. The PSD Traffic Department has called on vehicle owners to rectify any defects identified during inspections to ensure all vehicle parts function properly.
During the campaign, vehicles found with technical defects are issued a formal notice, allowing a one-week grace period for repairs. Vehicle owners must address these issues by visiting a licensing department, traffic department, highway patrol station, or comprehensive government service center to complete the process and submit the necessary notice.
