Amman: The Public Security Directorate (PSD) reaffirmed its caution that citizens' lives and safety could be seriously endangered by falling drones and unknown items, as well as by locations where they fall.
According to Jordan News Agency, despite all prior warnings and directives from the appropriate authorities, a number of infractions have been observed and tracked, and images and videos that have been making the rounds in recent days show how careless some people have been in altering these materials, encouraging this behavior, and disseminating it on social media.
The Directorate stressed the importance of taking the directives from the appropriate authorities seriously and following them, as anyone who endangers their lives or the lives of others faces legal repercussions. It said that infractions will result in both administrative and judicial punishment.
In order to maintain public safety, the Public Security Directorate demanded that the following set of rules be followed:
1. Avoid windows and remain indoors or somewhere else when sirens are heard.
2. If you come across any odd objects or marches, keep your distance, do not touch them, and call 911 right away.
3. Don't congregate, act irresponsibly, or be careless; instead, let the proper authorities look into the matter and handle it.
4. Teach family members, particularly children, to avoid approaching or tampering with any strange objects.
5. Rely exclusively on official sources and stay away from spreading rumors, false information, or pictures.
