Amman: A man who appeared in a video on social media assaulting and trying to restrain a minor at a school in Irbid was arrested, the Public Security Directorate's media spokesman said on Monday.

According to Jordan News Agency, the incident occurred on Sunday evening when the individual beat and attempted to hold the minor as he played football at the school in a northern suburb of Irbid. This confrontation arose after the ball accidentally landed in the man's courtyard.

The minor, along with teachers, filed a complaint at a nearby security center, leading to the suspect's apprehension. He was referred to the Public Prosecutor on Monday morning for legal action, the spokesman added.
