PSD Warns of Low Visibility Due to Dust Storms

Amman: The Public Security Department (PSD) on Tuesday issued a warning about reduced horizontal visibility caused by dust storms, particularly in desert areas and along highways, as the kingdom is affected by a Khamasini low-pressure system accompanied by rising temperatures. The weather system is expected to intensify on Wednesday, according to forecasts from relevant agencies.

According to Jordan News Agency, the PSD urged drivers to exercise extreme caution while traveling on external roads and advised individuals with respiratory conditions to avoid direct exposure to dust, wear protective face masks, and keep their medications on hand.

The PSD reaffirmed its full preparedness to assist the public and encouraged citizens to contact the unified emergency number (911) when needed, wishing safety to all.
