Public Holiday Announced on May 25 for Independence Day

Amman: The Cabinet has announced that Sunday, May 25, will be observed as an official public holiday in celebration of the kingdom's 79th Independence Day. In a directive issued on Sunday, Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan ordered the suspension of work across all ministries, public institutions, government departments, public universities, municipalities, joint service councils, the Greater Amman Municipality, and state-owned enterprises. According to Jordan News Agency, the announcement noted that institutions whose operations require continued service will be exempt from the holiday.
