According to Jordan News Agency, the government is currently assessing the specifics and designs of a comprehensive master plan aimed at upgrading border crossings with neighboring countries. This plan is being developed based on priority needs. The minister has instructed that immediate maintenance work be carried out, particularly focusing on the yards and entrances, following a briefing from the post's director, Col. Mohammad Sawaer. Col. Sawaer highlighted the significance of the Al-Omari crossing, which saw over 3.5 million passengers in 2023, along with a substantial flow of goods to Gulf Arab countries.
