The Ministry of Public Works and Housing said Saturday that it had began working within the medium emergency plan, coinciding with the weather conditions the Kingdom is expected to witness.
A ministry statement reaffirmed its readiness to deal with the expected weather conditions and handle comments received within 24 hours through its 98 teams distributed in various governorates of the Kingdom.
The ministry instructed its directorates and offices in various parts of the Kingdom to be fully ready to face the expected weather conditions and to conduct periodic inspection tours of all areas, especially areas that are expected to witness rain or dust, based on data received from the Jordan Meteorological Department.
The ministry called on citizens to take precaution and stay away from torrents streams and valleys, and to report any emergency situation by directly contacting the main operations room in the ministry and operating rooms in the governorates, or via works notification system application on smart phones.
