Amman: Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) experienced a surge in air traffic last month, with 782,481 passengers passing through its gates, representing a 25.8% increase compared to November 2024, as announced by Airport International Group (AIG).
According to Jordan News Agency, the AIG statement on Sunday highlighted a 26.9% rise in aircraft movements, which totaled 6,846. Additionally, air cargo saw a modest increase to 6,164 tons, representing a 2.0% rise from the previous year.
For the first eleven months of the year, QAIA welcomed 8,921,229 passengers, which is a 10.3 percent increase year-on-year. Aircraft movements reached 73,249, reflecting an 8.5 percent growth, while air cargo amounted to 64,237 tons, indicating an 8.0 percent decrease.
CEO Nicola Duvillier noted that these achievements underscore the trust passengers have in Jordan's main air gateway. He emphasized that the continued growth in air traffic highlights the airport group's strong position in the region and the commitment of its teams and partners to offering a seamless and welcoming travel experience.
