Dateline: Doha: Qatar Charity (QC) has dispatched a convoy of urgent humanitarian aid to the southern regions of the Syrian Arab Republic, utilizing the Nassib border crossing between Syria and Jordan.
According to Union of OIC News Agencies, this initiative is part of the collaborative efforts of the State of Qatar, represented by the Qatar Fund for Development and Qatar Charity, alongside the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. This mission is conducted in direct coordination with the Syrian government and the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Damascus. The primary aim is to bolster humanitarian solidarity with the Syrian populace and to reaffirm the commitment to providing urgent relief, especially amidst the escalating living and health challenges faced by certain Syrian regions. The aid is intended to alleviate suffering, meet essential needs, support community stability, and enhance resilience in confronting difficult circumstances.
The aid convoy, which will be distributed by the Syrian Arab Red Crescent to the most vulnerable families in Sweida Governorate as well as shelters in rural Damascus and Daraa, includes essential food supplies such as flour, in addition to medical supplies. The distribution will follow approved humanitarian response plans to ensure that the assistance reaches those in dire need.
