Amman: The number of registered companies in the Kingdom rose by 5 percent in the first half of 2024 compared to the same period in 2023, reaching 3,028 companies. Of these, 2,188 are limited liability companies, accounting for 72.2 percent of registered companies, with registered capital exceeding JD48.3 million. According to data obtained by the Jordan News Agency (Petra), the total registered capital increased by 6 percent compared to the same period in 2023, totaling more than JD113.8 million. The number of companies that were dissolved or had their registration canceled decreased by 21 percent compared to 2023, with 949 companies compared to 1,202 companies in 2023. 435 companies increased their capital, totaling about JD386 million, while 120 other companies reduced their capital by about JD46 million.
