Rights Monitor: Israel carries out forced displacement in northern Gaza

The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Observatory said Tuesday that Israel is pursuing a systematic and extensive policy of forcible displacement of Palestinians in the northern Gaza Strip amid the massacres, mass killings, targeting of hospitals and shelters and destruction of the fragile life. It said the Israeli army aims to force the evacuation of the population and accelerate the destruction of Palestinian life, as those who refuse or are unable to leave their homes are treated as criminals and face killing and direct targeting. The rights monitor said the occupation army has stepped up military operations in Beit Lahia and Jabalia in northern Gaza, where Israeli aircraft dropped leaflets today, ordering residents of Beit Lahia and those in shelters and hospitals to move immediately to the Indonesian Hospital in Jabalia, where a checkpoint was set up to search those leaving. The Israeli army, it said, was deliberately targeting roads, bakeries, wells and water stations, as well as destroying farms, part of which were replanted to meet the needs of local people as vegetables have been banned from entry for months.
