Royal Decree Approves Reshuffle of Prime Minister Hassan’s Cabinet

Amman: A Royal Decree was issued on Tuesday, approving a reshuffle of Prime Minister Jafar Hassan's Cabinet.

According to Jordan News Agency, the Royal Decree approved the appointment of Walid Masri as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Local Administration, Muhannad Shehadeh as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Economic Affairs, and Azmi Mahafzah as Minister of Education and Human Resource Development. The newly appointed ministers were sworn in before His Majesty King Abdullah II.

The swearing-in ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Jafar Hassan and Royal Hashemite Court Chief Yousef Issawi. In addition to the appointments, another Royal Decree approved the resignation of Walid Masri as Minister of Local Administration, Muhannad Shehadeh as Minister of State for Economic Affairs, and Azmi Mahafzah as Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, effective from 11 August 2026.
