Russeifa: The Municipality of Russeifa, with support from the Ministry of Local Administration, launched the first phase of a new computerized financial system for municipalities Monday, making it the first municipality in the Kingdom to adopt this system.
According to Jordan News Agency, this system, based on accrual accounting principles, represents a significant step forward in the financial and administrative development of municipalities. DNidal Abu Arabi, Secretary-General for Administrative and Financial Affairs at the ministry, stated that the system enhances financial information management for municipalities, increases transparency and accountability, and provides accurate and reliable financial reports. It offers a comprehensive overview of all municipal obligations and assets, enabling better future planning for municipal decision-makers.
Russeifa Mayor Shadi Al-Zainati emphasized the municipality's efforts to lead in automation and administrative, financial, and electronic modernization. He highlighted the municipality's success in implementing various digital transformation initiatives in collaboration with the Ministries of Local Administration and Digital Economy. Russeifa has been at the forefront of such efforts, aiming to reduce bureaucracy, eliminate corruption risks, and streamline services for citizens by delivering modern and efficient services.
