Russia announces control of Lozovatsky complex in eastern Ukraine

The Russian Defense Ministry announced that its forces took control of the Lozovatsky residential complex in the Donetsk region in eastern Ukraine. The Russian Defense Ministry said that "our forces took control of Lozovatsky, northwest of the Russian-controlled regional center in Donetsk, and carried out strikes on other areas in the sector and repelled 3 Ukrainian counterattacks, describing the situation as difficult but under the control of the armed forces." It indicated that its forces are slowly advancing through the Donetsk region in eastern Ukraine and are making steady and increasing gains since capturing the main town of Avdiivka in Donetsk last February.
