Moscow: Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko announced that the strategic partnership treaty between Russia and Iran does not entail mutual military assistance. This clarification came during discussions focused on the treaty's ratification process.
According to Jordan News Agency, Rudenko emphasized that the agreement is not a military alliance. He elaborated that the treaty specifies neither nation will offer military assistance to an aggressor if either Russia or Iran is attacked. The agreement also includes commitments to resolve disputes through the UN Charter and other international law principles.
