The Russian Foreign Ministry Tuesday strongly condemned large-scale Israeli air raids on Lebanon that left hundreds of people dead, and called for an immediate end to hostilities. "Russia strongly condemns the escalation and Israeli shelling of Lebanese territory, and calls for an immediate cessation of hostilities," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement. It warned that the escalation in Lebanon causes instability in the Middle East and raises Moscow's concerns.
