Russian Defense Ministry: Control of 8 towns and elimination of 16,960 Ukrainian soldiers in a week

The Russian Defense Ministry announced the control of 8 towns in the Donetsk region and 10 villages and towns in Kursk and the elimination of 16,960 Ukrainian soldiers in a week. The Russian Defense Ministry's weekly statement on the progress of the military operation in Ukraine stated: "From September 7 to 13, our forces launched 39 strikes against Ukrainian forces, energy sites and vital infrastructure, and destroyed sites in the infrastructure of military airports, ammunition depots, drones, fuel, weapons and Western ammunition, and liberated 8 towns in Donetsk and 10 villages and towns in Kursk and eliminated 16,960 Ukrainian soldiers." The statement added that 34 missiles, 30 bombs, and 433 drones were also shot down, and 9 tanks, 73 cannons, 32 electronic warfare stations, and 25 ammunition depots were destroyed.
