Russia: Russia's seaborne exports of oil and gas have declined by approximately 6% since the beginning of the current year, the Russian Ministry of Energy announced on Monday, attributing the downturn directly to ongoing international trade restrictions.
According to Jordan News Agency, the ministry stated in an official report that maritime energy exports saw a sharp month-on-month contraction in May, falling by roughly 36% to 3.2 million tons. This slide was driven by tightening regulatory compliance and sanctions targeting the country's broader energy sector.
In response to the shifting trade landscape, Moscow is actively looking for alternative markets, focusing its energy export redirection strategy toward East Asian regions to offset Western supply curbs.
