Amman: Speaker of the Lower House of Representatives, Ahmad Safadi, received Saudi Arabia’s General Court of Audit (GCA) President Hussam Alangari, in the presence of Chairman of Jordanian Audit Bureau, Radi Hamadin. Safadi emphasized the bilateral relations under the leadership of both kingdoms and expressed the Lower House’s commitment to supporting the Audit Bureau in overseeing public institutions to safeguard public funds. He highlighted the importance of the oversight bodies in both countries and called for an exchange of expertise in this area.
According to Jordan News Agency, Alangari underscored the brotherly relations between the two nations and emphasized the need to strengthen these ties across various fields. He expressed readiness for joint auditing cooperation, which would facilitate expertise exchange and enhance operations in both countries. Alangari also mentioned that efforts are underway to activate the joint memorandum of understanding between the Jordanian Audit Bureau and the Saudi GCA.
Radi Hamadin pointed out that the Audit Bureau is taking significant steps to implement its development plan, which aligns with the King’s visions and directives for enhancing Jordan’s public sector. The measures primarily focus on integrating the latest technologies to better serve the goal of preserving public funds. Hamadin also expressed a strong desire to enhance cooperation with the Saudi side to achieve mutual interests.
