Amman: Speaker of the Lower House of Representatives, Ahmad Safadi, expressed grave concerns over the continued Israeli occupation and its aggressive actions against the people in the Gaza Strip. He emphasized that these actions are particularly egregious during the holy month of Ramadan, highlighting the Israeli government's reliance on violence and bloodshed as a means of control.

According to Jordan News Agency, during a session of the House attended by Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan and Cabinet members, Safadi criticized Israel for its repeated violations of ceasefire agreements, accusing it of disregarding international law and humanitarian norms. He urged the international community to take immediate action to halt what he described as Israel's "war machine."

Safadi called for collaboration with foreign and Arab countries, along with key international players, to enforce compliance with the ceasefire resolution and to stop the ongoing aggression, which has resulted in hundreds of deaths and injuries. He warned that the continuation of such aggression could have severe repercussions across the entire region.

He highlighted the need for influential global powers to ensure the sustainability of the ceasefire and to restore essential services, such as electricity, to Gaza. Additionally, he called for the reopening of crossings to facilitate the delivery of much-needed humanitarian aid to parts of the strip experiencing a dire humanitarian crisis.

On a local level, Safadi affirmed the solidarity of Jordanians with their leadership, army, and security services, emphasizing the importance of national unity in confronting external threats. He reiterated Jordan's commitment to supporting the Palestinian people and their cause, urging the international community to back efforts aimed at ending the violence and achieving a lasting peace.
