Amman: Speaker of the Lower House of Representatives, Ahmad Safadi, emphasized that Jordan will remain "robust" under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II. He attributed the country's stability to the bravery of the army and security services, along with the awareness and resilience of Jordanians within a cohesive internal front.
According to Jordan News Agency, Safadi made these remarks during a symposium organized by the Fuheis Youth Club, themed: "Current Political Developments and Their Implications for Jordan." He highlighted the internal resilience that has thwarted attempts by advocates of sedition and skepticism, positioning Jordan as a model of a secure, stable, and steadfast state in the region.
Safadi reiterated Jordan's unwavering support for Palestinians, particularly in Gaza and across Palestine. He pledged that Jordan will continuously defend the just Palestinian cause and seek an end to the ongoing conflict, condemning the Israeli occupation's actions as unprecedented in human history.
He also praised the role of the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF) - Arab Army in providing relief through field hospitals in Gaza and Palestinian territories, while vowing that all efforts to sow discord will be overcome by the resilience of Jordanians.
Safadi asserted that Jordanians have every reason to be proud of King Abdullah II, who has been a steadfast defender of the Hashemite custodianship over Jerusalem's Islamic and Christian holy sites. He detailed how the King has faced pressure but has made relentless efforts to alleviate Palestinian suffering and pursue a just settlement based on a two-state solution.
