Saudi Transport Minister Announces Completion Timeline for Railway Link Study with Turkey via Jordan, Syria

Riyadh: Saudi Minister of Transport and Logistics Saleh Jasser has announced that a feasibility study for a proposed railway link connecting Saudi Arabia to Turkey through Jordan and Syria is expected to be finalized by the end of 2026.

According to Jordan News Agency, Jasser highlighted in media statements that the project aims to enhance regional integration and boost trade, contributing to the development of a sustainable land transport network across the region. The railway link is anticipated to provide a significant boost to economic activities and facilitate better connectivity among the participating countries.

Jasser also mentioned that Saudi Arabia's national railway network already extends to the Jordanian border through the Al Haditha crossing. This existing infrastructure positions the country strategically for the proposed expansion, potentially making the future railway link an essential component of the region's transportation framework.
