Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority Osama Rabie said Friday 12/7/2024 the SCA is advancing towards establishing the yacht industry in Egypt. The plan includes the creation of "Egypt Yachts" in partnership with the Red Sea South Shipyard Company, Rabie added during his inspection tour of the sixth edition of the Egypt International Boat and Yacht Show, held from July 11 to 14 in the North Coast. The initiative aligns with the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to localize marine industries, encourage private sector participation in developmental efforts, and provide direct and indirect job opportunities, among other positive outcomes that will enhance the overall yacht tourism activity, Rabie said. He highlighted the show's importance as a strong launch point for positioning Egypt on the global yacht tourism map. The SCA chairman added that the Suez Canal Authority aims to present a promising model for engaging in yacht tourism activities and providing advanced services according to the latest g lobal standards.
