SDGR Organises Sharjah-France Economic Forum to Boost Bilateral Partnerships


Sharjah: The Sharjah Department of Government Relations (SDGR) organised the “Sharjah-France Economic Forum” on Wednesday, in cooperation with the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the UAE – Dubai Office (CCI France Dubai) at the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The event saw the participation of Sheikh Fahim Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department of Government Relations, Jean Christophe Paris, Consul General of the French Republic in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, along with several officials, representatives of government institutions, and French economic companies.



According to Emirates News Agency, the forum’s objective is to strengthen economic and investment partnerships between Sharjah and France, opening new avenues for cooperation in essential sectors. The event featured networking and relationship-building sessions, complemented by a series of bilateral meetings between representatives of French companies and their Sharjah business community counterparts. These engagements provided a platform for discussing future projects and reinforcing economic ties between the two regions.



In a statement during the forum, Jean Christophe Paris, Consul General of the French Republic in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, emphasized the longstanding cooperation between France and Sharjah, highlighting their shared ambitions. “France and Sharjah have a long-standing cooperation and are now partners in ambition. So that’s why we came here with many French companies from different sectors like construction, water management, and energy to develop the connection with their counterparts here in Sharjah,” he said. Paris also expressed gratitude to the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce for organizing the event, which facilitated B2B connections and meetings, enhancing the business relationship towards a common future.
