Security Officer, Engineer Hospitalized After Hit by Vehicle

Amman: A highway patrol officer and an engineer of a company were hospitalized on Monday after being struck by a vehicle on the Amman Development Corridor (Ring Road), said the Public Security Directorate's media spokesman. They were taken to a hospital for treatment, he said, adding that the driver turned himself in, and an investigation was underway.

According to Jordan News Agency, the incident occurred on the Amman Development Corridor, commonly known as the Ring Road, which is a major route in the city. The spokesman for the Public Security Directorate confirmed that both individuals were receiving medical care following the accident. The driver involved in the incident has voluntarily surrendered to authorities, and a thorough investigation is currently being conducted to determine the circumstances surrounding the event.
