Senate Committee and Bahraini Envoy Discuss Strengthening Ties and Regional Issues

Amman: The Senate's Jordanian-Bahraini Brotherhood Committee, led by Tawfiq Krishan, engaged in discussions with the Bahraini Ambassador to Jordan, Sheikh Khalifa bin Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, focusing on enhancing bilateral ties across various sectors.

According to Jordan News Agency, Krishan emphasized the long-standing and historic connections between Jordan and Bahrain, underscoring the model they represent for joint Arab cooperation. He highlighted the importance of exploring joint cooperation mechanisms, particularly in parliamentary work, exchanging parliamentary visits, and strengthening economic and investment partnerships to serve common interests.

Krishan also reiterated Jordan's steadfast positions, guided by His Majesty King Abdullah II, on regional issues such as the Palestinian cause and the Israeli conflict in Gaza. He stressed the necessity for political solutions to regional conflicts to ensure security and stability.

The Bahraini envoy expressed his country's commitment to elevating bilateral relations to new heights, specifically in political, parliamentary, cultural, health, trade, and tourism sectors. He acknowledged Jordan's crucial role, under King Abdullah II's leadership, in fostering peace and security in the region and efforts toward achieving a just solution to the Palestinian issue.
