Amman: Senate President Faisal Fayez met with Bahraini Shura Council Chairperson Ali Saleh and his delegation during their visit to the Kingdom at the Senate's official invitation to discuss the enhancement of bilateral relations between the two nations.
According to Jordan News Agency, Fayez commended the robust and deeply rooted relations between Jordan and Bahrain, highlighting them as a model for joint Arab collaboration. He emphasized the commitment of His Majesty King Abdullah II and His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to further developing these ties.
Fayez noted the continuous coordination between the leaders on issues that strengthen and consolidate bilateral relations, aiming to unify positions on various challenges facing the Arab world. He acknowledged Bahrain's supportive stance towards Jordan and its endorsement of King Abdullah II's efforts to achieve regional peace and a comprehensive resolution to the Palestinian issue based on the two-state solution and international resolutions. Additionally, Fayez expressed gratitude for Bahrain's support for the Hashemite custodianship of Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.
Saleh remarked that the relations between Bahrain and Jordan are deeply rooted in history, with ongoing coordination on shared issues at different levels. He highlighted the importance of Arab cooperation, especially in light of global conflicts that necessitate a unified approach toward achieving regional stability.
