Amman: Senate President Faisal Fayez engaged in discussions with Kuwaiti Ambassador Hamad Al-Marri to deliberate on the "longstanding" relations between Jordan and Kuwait, exploring avenues to enhance joint cooperation across multiple sectors. The meeting emphasized the significance of maintaining a robust partnership that is mutually beneficial for both nations. According to Jordan News Agency, during the discussions, Fayez praised the "solid, historic, and mutually beneficial" ties between the two countries. He highlighted the dedication of His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan and the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, to nurturing and advancing this relationship in support of common interests and broader Arab and Islamic causes. Ambassador Al-Marri conveyed his congratulations to Fayez on his recent appointment as Jordan's Senate President and emphasized the "strong" diplomatic and collaborative foundations between the nations. He remarked that the Jordanian-Kuwaiti relations hav e attained an "exemplary" level of cooperation, driven by the shared determination of both leaderships to further elevate their partnership in the interest of their peoples. The discussions also highlighted the urgent need for coordinated efforts to halt Israeli hostilities against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank. Both sides stressed the importance of promoting stability and ending violence in the region, as outlined in a Senate statement.
