Amman:Pumping from the Disi Water Conveyance Project has been suspended after severe weather caused extensive technical failures in southern and eastern Jordan, according to stakeholders.
According to Jordan News Agency, the shutdown will result in delays and adjustments to the water distribution schedule in several neighborhoods of Amman on Saturday and Sunday, as stated by the Ministry of Water and Irrigation, the Water Authority of Jordan (WAJ), Jordan Water Company (Miyahuna), and the Disi Water Company (DIWACO).
Engineering and technical teams are working continuously to repair the damaged infrastructure, restore well operations, and return pumping to full capacity. Once repairs are completed, water delivery will resume according to each area's assigned rotation.
Water authorities have urged affected residents to cooperate and understand the situation during this emergency outage, as technicians strive to restore normal service.
