Amman: Minister of Social Development and Head of the Ministerial Committee for Women's Empowerment Wafaa Bani Mustafa met with Dutch Ambassador Stella Kluth to discuss expanding cooperation across developmental and social sectors between the two countries.
According to Jordan News Agency, Bani Mustafa detailed the priorities of the National Social Protection Strategy (2025-2033), which is structured around the pillars of dignity, empowerment, opportunity, and resilience. She highlighted the Ministry's ongoing efforts to deliver protection and development services to the most vulnerable groups, coordinating with relevant institutions.
Bani Mustafa outlined the Ministry's role in providing services through its various care facilities, including nurseries, orphanages, centers for children without family support, juvenile detention centers, and facilities serving people with disabilities. She emphasized the Ministry's responsibilities in monitoring and overseeing these institutions.
The discussion also covered the progress made in regulating the social work profession, including issuing licenses to practitioners and enhancing their skills through scientific and practical training. This aims to improve the quality of social services delivered to target groups.
Bani Mustafa noted the ongoing cooperation between the two countries in social and developmental fields and expressed hope for further collaboration. She focused on supporting economic empowerment programs for women and youth in vulnerable communities, strengthening social services infrastructure through sustainable community projects, advancing expertise exchange in social protection, and enhancing digital transformation within the social services sector.
Kluth praised the Ministry's efforts in social protection and the services provided across several social sectors, expressing interest in expanding future cooperation and partnership.
