Amman: Minister of Social Development Wafa Bani Mustafa visited the volunteer Our Lady of Peace Home for the Elderly in Amman on the occasion of Christmas.
According to Jordan News Agency, Bani Mustafa extended her congratulations and best wishes to members of the Christian communities, expressing hopes for their continued goodness and peace. She emphasized that the occasion embodies the values of love and coexistence that are characteristic of Jordanian society.
During her visit, Bani Mustafa highlighted the crucial role social care institutions play in providing services and support to beneficiary groups. She underscored the ministry's commitment to supporting these institutions and strengthening their programs to enhance social protection.
Bani Mustafa noted the ministry's efforts in developing policies and programs to improve service quality for the elderly. She pointed out the Ministry of Social Development's accomplishments, including enhancing services at elderly care homes, increasing supervision and oversight, and expanding day-care and family support programs.
The minister also reviewed the conditions at the home and the services provided to both male and female beneficiaries.
The management of the volunteer Our Lady of Peace Home for the Elderly expressed their appreciation for the visit, commending the Ministry of Social Development's interest and ongoing support for social care institutions.
