Social Development Ministry and Princess Taghrid Institute Collaborate to Open Wellness Center for Vulnerable Girls

AMMAN: The Ministry of Social Development and the Princess Taghrid Institute for Development and Training have formalized a partnership to establish a health and wellness center dedicated to supporting vulnerable girls in the Kafr Asad area of the al-Wusta District. The new facility will offer essential services, including mental health care and rehabilitation, specifically for orphans and girls without family support, aged 18 and above. According to Jordan News Agency, the agreement underscores the ongoing collaboration between the ministry and the Princess Taghrid Institute, highlighting their joint commitment to enhancing social services for at-risk groups. Minister of Social Development Wafa Bani Mustafa emphasized that this initiative is part of a broader strategy involving civil society institutions, which are crucial in delivering vital support to marginalized communities. Minister Bani Mustafa detailed the project's focus on addressing the unique needs of girls who have transitioned from ministry ca re homes, employing a case management approach to provide psychological, social, and vocational support. The center aims to significantly improve the quality of life for these young women by equipping them with the necessary skills and resources for independence. The minister also noted the ministry's dedication to delivering high-quality care through collaboration with relevant organizations and optimizing community-level resources. Comprehensive training for staff is planned to ensure adherence to best practices in the care provided at the center. The facility is scheduled to open in the second half of the coming year, following the completion of construction and installation of necessary equipment. Aghadeer Jweihan, Director General of the Princess Taghrid Institute, reiterated the importance of the partnership, aligning with the institute's mission to extend critical services to orphaned and unsupported girls. This collaboration continues the institute's dedication to assisting vulnerable social groups in partnership with the ministry.
