Social Security Corporation Introduces New Interest Relief Options for Business Debt

Amman:According to Jordan News Agency, the Social Security Corporation (SSC) has announced updated rules for debt installments, providing businesses with the opportunity to receive reduced or waived interest rates on their debt when they make an upfront payment. These changes will be effective until December 31, 2026.

The revised terms offer a full waiver of installment interest for businesses that pay at least 25 percent upfront. For those making an upfront payment between 20 percent and 24.9 percent, the interest rate drops to 1 percent. Businesses paying between 15 percent and 19.9 percent upfront will see the interest rate reduced to 2 percent.

The SSC also stated that it will determine repayment schedules based on each company's financial situation and ability to pay, in accordance with existing insurance inclusion regulations. Additionally, establishments that were previously excluded from using relief programs twice between May 2024 and December 2025 are now eligible, provided they have not restructured their debt three or more times.
