Amman: The South Korean Embassy in Amman marked the 4,357th anniversary of South Korea’s establishment on Tuesday evening, with a celebration attended by dignitaries including Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Nancy Nimroqa, senior officials, members of the diplomatic corps, and media representatives.
According to Jordan News Agency, South Korean Ambassador to Jordan, Kim Pil-woo, delivered a speech highlighting the enduring bilateral relations between South Korea and Jordan, which have spanned over sixty years. He emphasized that these relations extend beyond political and economic cooperation, being rooted in shared values of mutual respect, understanding, and a commitment to humanitarian principles.
Ambassador Kim Pil-woo expressed admiration for the Jordanian people’s impact on Koreans, noting their tolerance, generosity, and humanity. He appreciated the mutual support both nations provide each other in international forums, and reaffirmed South Korea’s commitment to collaborating with Jordan for a common future that promotes peace and stability both regionally and globally.
The ambassador also remarked on the deep trust and understanding that have been established between the two countries, transcending mere trade and diplomacy. He acknowledged the human values that inspire both nations to work for the benefit of humanity.
The event captivated attendees with cultural and artistic performances, including traditional Korean rhythmic music and a classical music recital by a professional Korean pianist. Guests also enjoyed traditional Korean dishes, showcasing the richness of Korean cuisine and reflecting the cultural exchange and strong friendship between the Jordanian and Korean peoples.
