Accra:The Social Security Corporation (SSC) has urged businesses with outstanding debts to benefit from a new decision by its Board of Directors to reduce installment interest rates on arrears, with a deadline set for December 31.
According to Jordan News Agency, the SSC's relief plan involves tiered interest reductions based on the down payment made by the indebted company. Businesses making a 25% down payment will receive a complete waiver of installment interest, while a 20% down payment will reduce the interest rate to 1%, and a 15% down payment will reduce it to 2%.
These measures are designed to support the business sector by accommodating current economic conditions, helping companies regularize their legal and financial statuses, and ensuring the protection of workers' social insurance rights. The SSC has encouraged indebted firms to visit their branches or use official digital channels to check eligibility and start settlement processes before the year-end deadline.
