SSC Mobile App Gains Over 619,000 Users in Weeks

Amman:More than 619,000 individuals have adopted the Social Security Corporation's (SSC) new mobile app within weeks of its launch, as the agency transitions various pension, insurance, and benefit services to smartphone platforms.

According to Jordan News Agency, the app was launched in mid-September and consolidates over 30 services into a single platform. It allows insured workers, retirees, and other beneficiaries to check their status and conduct transactions without visiting an SSC branch.

The SSC stated on Sunday that the app addresses a common challenge faced by users of large digital platforms: identifying applicable services. It automatically determines each user's insurance status, displaying relevant services accordingly.

The app includes services such as pension and retiree management, voluntary subscriptions, flexible coverage, unemployment and maternity benefits, and the "Include Yourself" service. It also provides company liaison officers with access to immediate medical treatment procedures for workplace injuries.

Access to the app is set to expand this week with a new mechanism for Jordanian expatriates without a digital identity. This will enable Jordanians abroad to access the app, track their insurance records, and perform transactions electronically without needing to visit an SSC branch.

Available on Google Play and Apple's App Store under "Jordanian Social Security" or "SSC Jordan," the platform is part of the corporation's broader strategy to deliver social security services digitally.

The SSC noted that the app's rapid adoption indicates a strong demand for digital services that simplify and expedite transaction processes. The corporation plans to further expand the services offered through the platform and encourages beneficiaries to download or update the app to access the latest features.
