Syria Reopens Airspace, Flights at Damascus Airport Resume

Syria: Syria said on Wednesday it reopened all air corridors and announced the resumption of air traffic through the country's airspace. Head of the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Air Transport, Omar Hosari, quoted by the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), said operations at Damascus International Airport resumed today, with flights arriving and departing regularly according to their schedules. He said the airport is back to normal with the continuation of air services.

According to Jordan News Agency, the reopening of Syrian airspace marks a significant development in the country's civil aviation sector. This move is expected to improve connectivity and ease of travel for passengers utilizing Damascus International Airport. The resumption of flights signifies a step towards restoring Syria's position in regional air transport.

The decision to reopen airspace and resume flights comes after a period of suspension, which had impacted both domestic and international travel. This development could potentially lead to increased economic activity and enhance Syria's accessibility for various stakeholders.
