Syrian Delegation Explores Jordanian Packaging Industry in East Amman Visit

East amman: A delegation of Syrian businessmen toured factories in the East Amman Industrial Zone to learn about developments in Jordan's packaging industry, its quality standards, and competitiveness in export markets.

According to Jordan News Agency, the visit was organized by the East Amman Industrial Investors Association (EAIIA) in cooperation with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). The delegation visited Al Shurook for Printing and Packaging, Jordan Star Plastic, and Crystal Packing Systems.

During the tour, the delegation was briefed on industrial practices, the use of advanced technologies, and the expertise of Jordanian companies in offering solutions for local and regional markets. They also reviewed strategies aimed at boosting competitiveness and expanding global exports.

Iyad Abu Haltam, Chairman of EAIIA, presented the role of the association in supporting industries and investment opportunities within the zone. Meanwhile, board member Faraj Tawil emphasized the sector's growth in technology and quality, highlighting its importance in sustaining supply chains and promoting Jordanian products internationally.

UNIDO representatives mentioned that the visit is part of the "Revitalizing the Agro-Food Industries Sector in Syria" project, which aims to support Syrian companies, enhance food security, and promote regional integration.

The Syrian delegation expressed appreciation for Jordan's industrial advancements, particularly in printing and packaging, and called for continued cooperation to serve the economic interests of both countries.
