Amman: Income and Sales Tax Department Director General Husam Abu Ali on Saturday stressed training and developing human resources to stay up-to-date with the latest international standards and best professional practices.
According to Jordan News Agency, investment in human resources helps to enhance institutional performance and improve the quality of tax work, he told a workshop organized by the Tax Department in cooperation with the Jordanian Association of Certified Public Accountants. The workshop, titled "International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS 18): Presentation and Disclosure in Financial Statements - Amendments and New Requirements," emphasized the department's ongoing commitment to training programs in partnership with professional institutions. Abu Ali highlighted the importance of continuous development and raising employee efficiency as a means to improve the quality of tax services.
The focus on staff development aims to reinforce governance, transparency, and compliance with the best international standards. The workshop gathered around 250 executive directors, heads of audit departments, and auditors, underscoring the collaborative effort to maintain high standards in the field.
