Tender Issued for Large Wheat Purchase by Jordanian Ministry

Amman: The Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply, Jordan’s state grain buyer, has issued a tender to purchase either 100,000 or 120,000 tonnes of wheat. The ministry is seeking to bolster its wheat reserves through this significant procurement effort.

According to Jordan News Agency, the ministry announced on Wednesday that interested traders are required to obtain a copy of the tender documents by paying a non-refundable fee of JD650. The deadline for submitting bids is set for 2:00 pm next Tuesday, providing a limited window for potential suppliers to prepare their proposals.

To be considered eligible for the tender, potential buyers need to submit copies of a valid professional license and a commercial register that has been certified within 30 days prior to the opening of the tenders. Additionally, a valid registration with a Jordanian chamber of commerce is mandatory, ensuring that only qualified and credible entities participate in this procurement process.
