The Foreign Ministry Hosted the 4th Session of Egypt-EU Migration Dialogue

The Egypt-EU Migration Dialogue provided an opportunity to conduct an analysis to all the issues related to migration phenomenon of mutual interest via tackling some main elements affecting it including highlighting the developmental benefits of migration, analyzing the regional dimension of migration, handling the drastic reasons for irregular migration including the political, security, economic and social sides and preventing and combating illegal migration and human trafficking. Both sides discussed means of boosting legal migration channels. The dialogue contributed to promoting mutual understanding and exchanging expertise and best practices and expertise in addition to supporting building the Egyptian national cadres operating in the field of combating illegal migration according to the needs determined by the Egyptian state. They also agreed on the importance of attracting more European investments to Egypt and creating suitable job opportunities for youth. Source: State Information Service Egypt
