The Ministerial Council for the Economy announced today, Friday, that it will hold its next session in the Kurdistan Region. The media office of the Council stated in a statement that: "Under the direction of the Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Ministerial Council for the Economy, Fuad Hussein, the Council decided to hold its next session in the Kurdistan Region." It added: "The delegation of the Ministerial Council for the Economy, accompanied by a large number of officials from the federal government, is scheduled to leave tomorrow, Saturday, to Erbil to hold a series of meetings with the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, members of his government and some officials in the region." It pointed out: "The Council and the accompanying delegation will discuss with the Kurdistan Regional Government common issues and work to resolve outstanding issues; with the aim of removing obstacles to the implementation of some important files, in a way that achieves the interest of the Iraqi citizen in general.
