Palestine Monetary Authority: Fuel purchases using electronic payment methods are available without commissions The Palestine Monetary Authority expressed its dissatisfaction this evening, Thursday, March 10, with some gas station owners announcing the closure of their stations to the public under the pretext that banks have stopped receiving shekels, stressing that banks accept cash deposits from gas station owners in line with their purchases through the Petroleum Authority. The Monetary Authority explained that it provided modern electronic payment tools without any fees or commissions at gas stations using electronic points of sale and the instant payment system. She pointed out that the phenomenon of cash dealings has become a burden on the national economy, stressing that the solutions regarding the shipment of the shekel are in the hands of the Israeli side, and we are working with international institutions to mitigate its effects.
